We have added a new tab for our upcoming Executive Council elections to this forum to create a space for nominees to provide their ideas and vision for the Roasters Guild. We also are hoping this will also be a place where members can directly communicate with the entire community about our process for building a new Council and shaping our future as a guild. Currently the nominating committee is in the process of vetting candidates and the slate of nominees will be released January 9, 2012. You can expect to see statements from candidates shortly after this date. We look forward to your participation in this process, so please feel free to ask the candidates questions and engage in this dialogue with your future guild leadership.

Voting will begin February 13 and end March 2. Results of the Roasters Guild Executive Council election will be announced March 5, 2012.

Hello to all of my fellow Roasters Guild members. As we know it is time to vote on our RGEC. I am hoping that we have a great turn out and there is an excellent group on the ballot this year.

As a current member of the RGEC I would love your vote so I can continue working with the Roasters Guild and the Educational programs that we are currently developing. We have come a long way and I hope to be a part of the progress in making the Certification program something that we all can benefit from.

I love working with this great group of people and being available to our members as well. If you vote for me I will make sure to work for our members and to keep the momentum going with working towards completing the certification classes that we all care so much about.

Thank You

Chris Wade.

Hello Chris

First I would like to say you have done an outstanding job.

If re-elected how can you help or recommend to make the roaster certification program stronger so employers are willing to give time for their roaster to attend or even reimburse them?

How can you help make the roaster certification program stronger and have more meaning to your fellow guild members?

Is there any one thing that you feel we the guild can do better and how will be able to help us achieve this?
Does the company you work for have a problem with you sharing your views about roasting or cupping process?

Thanks you for your service and I hope you are re-elected to be able to finish the projects you are doing.
