Intazza Coffee in Southern California has a job opening for an experienced roaster as Director of Coffee in our new retail cafe roastery. The Director of Coffee inspires the excitement for our coffee offerings throughout the company and is well-educated on all aspects of where and how coffee is grown, processed, roasted and enjoyed. The ideal candidate is proficient in industry best practices and roastery operations. As this is a cafe roastery, they should have barista training and bar experience, including a strong grasp on espresso extraction and QC, brew methods, service and presentation. They are a craftsperson with the mastery to take a single-origin offering or create a blend, design a suitable profile, and lead regular QC cuppings through the life of the coffee to keep it at its best. A motivated coffee pro with a love to share and lead a team of hard-working coffee lovers.
