Developing Better Cupping Practices

http://dailycoffeenews.com/2016/09/12/why-you-should-be-centerlining-your-cupping-protocol/

There's a lot that's written about why people cup coffee or how to get better at it, but an area that's often overlooked is how even though there are standards for cupping, there is also room in those standards for companies to make deliberate decisions about various aspects of their own practices. So when I was asked to write an article, I decided to write about a process for making those decisions. One of the interesting things I found when trying this at my own shop was that doing this has the potential to allow everybody in a company to deliver more useful cupping observations without actually developing better cupping skills.

On a similar topic, I've just started a new weekly video series called 60 Second Coffee Tips. The episodes won't all be cupping or roasting related, but the first one is about spoon rinsing.

Neal,

Awesome video! Looking forward to all the 60 second coffee tips! I have to say I was loving the slow mo of improper vs proper spoon rinsing:-)! I'll never improperly rinse my spoon again!

Cheers and I hope your neck of the woods is as Beautiful as mine today.
